Lancia Delta Evoluzione

My Lancia Delta Evoluzione model is 'completed' ..in all the main parts at least, although i'm not an automotive artist i'm happy enough about the result, making a first render is certainly the best way to celebrate the completion of the model!

A quick brief story:

It was 2009-ish when i started working on the model, i've been very inconsistent with the work, worked on it only in spare time and for many many years i didn't carry it on at all, so it's nearly impossible to understand how many hours/weeks/years i've spent on it, i've made a lot of models to make one model, my goal was very high so either way this project requested a lot of time.

The goal was to model this legendary car in all its visible parts, in fact i've modeled the interiors in a very deep detail, not so extreme but deep enough, only recently i've decided to model the Engine too, well.. only its visible parts, and it was very challenging other than frustrating so yes.. in the above render we have an engine under the hood.

Big companies today can easly scan things, but this car is made in the old fashion way.. by hands! using blueprints and an endless amount of pictures (since i don't own the car 😅) so yes.. it's made by eyeballs, i did my best with the proportions and measures but i would not be surprised if some parts looks smaller or bigger under a magnifier.

The model requested a lot of work to be made in the quality i wanted, it is not perfect, not happy about everything cause i lazy modeled some parts but in the end.. the hard work paid off, sure i can't afford the real car but now i have my personal made model to play with!

How i will use this model? well.. i will try to explore what i can really make with it, sure i will make some more renders and maybe a video of some kind, we'll see..

final thanks

to GASIGarage youtube channel: they don't even know how their channel helped me a lot with all their Delta videos i used as a reference.
to MATUROcars : same as GASIGasrage, they've been a good inspiration and sure a place to keep my eyes on while searching for specific car pictures/videos as reference for my modeling process, an all Lancia Delta Evoluzione best place to look.
